Overview
Stains, Paints, and Colored Glass
Different manufacturers approached decorating of pieces in different ways. Before the late 1950s, most manufacturers produced pieces in
clear glass (aka Crystal), then stained or painted them as needed. Although this continued until the end of all production of the pattern,
the 1960s introduced colored glass to the offerings. Typically, colored glass was not subsequently stained or painted.
The swatch thumbnails provide guidance to what the manufacturer originally called the specific color.
